Monitor & Skærmopløsning
Denne hjemmeside er udviklet med brugen af
Microsoft's Front Page 2003 version, using Windows
Vista and Internet Explorer 7.
Skærmbilledet er udført på en flad screen
monitor med en
en skærm opløsning på 1680 - 1050
Udviklingen af Soft og hardware i de sidste 10-15 år har
medført at denne hjemmeside er lavet lavet på forskellige monitors og
udviklingsprogrammer (Windows versioner, internet
udbyder and monitors).
Monitor and screen resolution
This Homepage is develop
on a Microsoft FrontPage 2003 version, using Windows
7 and Internet Explorer 8.
The viewing device is a flat wide screen
LCD monitor
with a resolution of 1680 - 1050 using 32/64 bit.
This
HomePage has been developed on difference soft &
Hardware platforms (Windows versions, internet providers and monitors)
during the past 15 years.
You may view this Homepage satisfactory on a normal flat
screen monitor with a resolution of 1280-1024, using 32 bit however you may
find some screens a bit out of touched with to days expectations. This being reflected on some of the pages which has not been
updated, extern links there has disappeared through the years and pages larger
in width than the screen provide for.
This will be especial true on homepage
concerning the Svane family history
book (only in Danish), which is build over a 3 frame system screen
display.
Screen resolution etc.
Screen resolution refers to the
clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions,
items appear sharper. They also appear smaller, so more items fit on the
screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items fit on the screen, but they
are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images
might have jagged edges. For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen
resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is a higher one.
Whether you can increase your screen
resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the
type of video card you have.
If you want to adjust your display settings or, if
these settings were changed and you want to restore
default settings, use recommendations provided.
For both type of monitors - LCD or CRT, it's typical that the
higher the
dots per inch (DPI), the better the
fonts will look.
For a CRT monitor, it's important to change the
screen resolution to the highest resolution available that gives
32-bit color quality and at least a 72-Hertz refresh rate. If the screen is flickering, or
viewing the screen is uncomfortable, increase the refresh rate
until you are comfortable with it.
Resolution based on monitor size.

Windows
colors and
themes work best when you have your monitor set to 32-bit
color. You can set your monitor to 24-bit color, but you won't
see all the visual effects. If you set your monitor to 16-bit
color, images that should be smooth might not appear correctly.
Under Colors, select
Highest (32 bit), and then click
OK. (If you can't select 32 bit,
check that your resolution is as high as possible, and then
try again.)
Cleaning your screen
Turn off
the monitor. If the screen is dark, it will be easier to see
the areas that are dirty or oily.
Use a dry, soft cloth and very gently wipe the
screen. A great choice would be the microfiber type of cloth
used to clean eyeglasses. See Tip #1 below for kinds of
cloths to avoid.
If the dry cloth did not
completely remove the dirt or oil, do not press harder
in an attempt to scrub it off. Pushing directly on the LCD
screen can often cause pixels to burn out.
If necessary, dampen the
cloth with distilled water or with an equal ratio of
distilled water to white vinegar
