The Horsens branch of the Svane family takes it's roots in, Hans Svaning & Marine Stages child nr. 12, Anne Hansdatter Svane married to the town Major Hans Riber in Horsens i 1590.

It was here in the surroundings of Horsens and Nim District that my family settled for more than 400 years

To get e better view of our family, we have divided our roots into 2 time zones:

• Zone 1. - The Horsens Svanes from 1590 to1750. They mainly lived closed to the Horsens city and it's surrounding villages to Horsens like, Tamdrup, Ølholm, Langskov mv. 

• Zone 2. - The Uldum Svanes from 1750 to today. It is here that Anne Svanes 2x great gran child Christian Rudolf Olufsen Svane lived.
  They came from Horsens via Ølholm and moved through the village Langskov to the small town Uldum and the surrounding villages in that District of Nim and the country of Vejle - se map here

"The roots" is a list of my direct family from Anne Svane through Rudolf to the actually proban of to day - in this case my mother Oda Svane.

All though there may be only one branch shown from Anne Hansdatter Svane til Christian Rudolf Olufsen Svane, there is many branches from Rudolf, depending which proband you select.

In the ancestry list shown on "Stamtavlen", I have shown another branch, namely Ølsted Svanerne represented by (proban) Ole Chr. Svane Jørgensen.
